A Television Academy, instituição responsável pelo Emmy, anunciou nesta terça-feira (12) os indicados à 74ª edição da principal premiação da indústria norte-americana de televisão e streaming. A atriz Melissa Fumero e o ator J. B. Smoove foram responsáveis por revelar os nomes. 

Os apresentadores do Emmy 2022 ainda não foram revelados, mas o evento já está marcado para o dia 12 de setembro e será transmitido pelo canal NBC, e no Brasil, deverá ser transmitido pelo canal pago TNT.

Entre os favoritos do público, “Euphoria” recebeu 16 indicações. Zendaya, como protagonista da série, é a jovem mais indicada, duas vezes como atriz.

A série Atlanta também foi lembrava pela premiação com duas indicações, na categoria Melhor Ator em Série de Comédia com o ator Donald Glover e Melhor Direção em Série de Comédia.

Outro destaque na comédia é a série Abbott Elementary com cinco indicações: Melhor Série Comédia, Melhor Atriz em Série de Comédia com Quinta Brunson, Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante em Série de Comédia com Janelle James e Sheryl Lee Ralph, além de Melhor Ator Coadjuvante em Série de Comédia com a estrela de Todo Mundo Odeia Chris, Tyler James Williams.

Não houve indicações de atores negros nas categorias de Melhor Ator e Atriz em Série Limitada ou Filme para TV, e nenhum em Melhor Ator Coadjuvante em Série Limitada ou Filme para TV.
